Englands victory over Afghanistan as England recovered after a horrible start against Afghanistan to win their second game on trot as they defeated the Afghanistan side by 15 runs on Wednesday evening at Kotla, Delhi.
England were in deep trouble as they lost their first six wickets with just 57 runs on the board inside ten overs. But Moeen Ali’s innings of 41 off 33 deliveries & a cameo knock of 20 off 17 balls from David Willey took England’s total to 142 for 7.
Afghanistan never looked comfortable in the chase as they lost their first five wickets for just 39 runs inside 9 overs. England’s David Willey & Adil Rashid both took two wickets each as Afghanistan fell 15 runs short of the target.
