The bench press has long been hailed as the king of chest exercises. Despite this, there has been a constant debate going on related to whether or not bench press is a good chest exercise. Every lifter tends to have a different opinion on the fact whether to include a bench press in their workout regime or not. Vincent is popular on social media for debunking the fitness industry and creating content related to optimum ways to train and the right way to approach nutritional requirements. In the recent video, he covered the topic of bench press and revealed why he doesn’t prefer benching in his pec workout.

According to many bodybuilding veterans and influencers, there are other much better and safer exercises to train and grow chest size. Vincent started by revealing that the “bench press is not a good chest exercise.” “The primary function of your pecs is adduction. Bring your arm from outside, to in. If you were doing a bench press, you’re not getting any adduction at all. It just doesn’t optimally contract and load the chest muscles,” said Vincent.
