One of the most technical boxers in the world, Tyson Fury will face Deontay Wilder on February 22 in Las Vegas. Wilder may not be known for his skills but he is the hardest hitter in the heavyweight division. After a controversial draw ended their first bout on a sour note, both boxers finally get to prove who is the best.

Ahead of his bout against Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury’s father, John Fury came out to explain the story behind Fury’s name.

John Fury said that Fury was a premature baby weighing less than a pound. When the doctors lost hope, Fury’s father did not. He made a bold prediction of Fury being the heavyweight champion of the world which eventually came true.

John said, “He was just a pound in weight. The doctor said he probably won’t make it, he’s very weak. I said to all them doctors, he won’t be small. I said he’ll be nearly 7ft tall, 20 stone, the next heavyweight champion of the world.”

Due to Tyson Fury’s toughness, his father named him after the greatest heavyweight boxer or that era- Mike Tyson.
