Persistency will take anyone ahead in their career and life. According to Grammy-winning rapper 50 Cent, two entities have best exemplified the success and sweetness of persistency at work. They are one, five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant, and two, champion in multiple weight classes and undefeated boxer Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. In an old interview, 50 cent explained the potentiality of persistency and focus in life.
Taking the podium to himself, he had said, “Look, have been persistent, right? I think the only thing that separates people is passion. And having the ability to focus, on something, on the work.”

“It will allow you to work hard enough, to be good enough at it. That’s the Kobe Bryant run.” 50 Cent went on, and here is what he further said about persistency, Bryant, and ‘Money’.
Persistency at work: the similarity between Floyd Mayweather and Kobe Bryant
According to 50 Cent, it is passion that leads one to outwork his/her contemporaries in the game. In his opinion, where a lot of people performed in accordance with the “paycheck”, Bryant performed out of heart. Therefore, 50 Cent added by saying, “A lot of people in the league perform according to their paycheck. Say like, ‘I ain’t getting that money, let them do it’. Kobe was there every day. And that’s what separates him and makes him special to us.”
50 Cent firmly believes that what Kobe taught through his work ethic and passion is ineradicable and lives on for an infinite stretch of time. He added by saying, “even after he’s gone. That’s one thing when you can actually commit to yourself and you want for your life. You work that hard at it.”
