Anthony Joshua Could End Usyk With “Automatic Knockout”, Suggests Tyson Fury’s Coach

Even though Tyson Fury is making it seem like he is next in line to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship, the Ukrainian champ is still bound by his contract to honor the rematch with Anthony Joshua.

In a recent interview, Tyson Fury‘s coach, Sugar Hill Steward revealed that Anthony Joshua still has a good shot at shutting down Oleksandr Usyk. However, he believes the only way AJ could regain his throne is if he agrees to train with him and ‘The Gypsy King’ himself directly.

After the recent Vasyl Lomachenko-Commey clash, Oleksandr Usyk, who was in attendance, was asked if he would be open to fighting ‘The Gypsy King’ right away. He suggested that a clash with Fury would be ideal; skipping out on the Anthony Joshua rematch would be a step less for him to become the undisputed champion at heavyweight.

However, Top Rank top-dog Bob Arum does not want to be a part of the ‘step-aside’ complications. He does not want any part of intervening in the contractual obligations between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

Forget these step asides. Let Joshua fight Usyk again. He has a contract to do that and let Dillian Whyte fight Tyson Fury. Whoever wins those two fights then fights for all the belts. I mean, it’s just a few months until it’s sorted out,said Bob Arum.
