Anthony Joshua Must Get Physical Against Tyson Fury, Says Wladimir Klitschko’s Trainer

If everything falls in place, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will lock horns to unify the heavyweight world titles in 2021. While Fury seems to be the favorite in the contest, Joshua’s recent KO win over Pulev has clearly put the cat among the pigeons.

Several boxing fans have started to bill their support for Joshua as they envision him beating Fury in the coming days. Although Wladimir Klitschko’s trainer Jonathan Banks doesn’t believe the same, he has something to share with Anthony Joshua before he goes after ‘The Gypsy King’.

According to Banks, Anthony Joshua can’t vanquish Tyson Fury with a similar game plan that saw him overcome Kubrat Pulev. Instead, he has advised ‘AJ’ to be more physical with Fury, citing a close-contact fight between them.

Banks doesn’t see Joshua’s performances against Ruiz Jr. and Pulev as an antidote to Tyson Fury’s game plan. So he has his favor over the unbeaten world champion in the Ultimate British heavyweight showdown. Meanwhile, he is also excited to see the outcome of the high-voltage clash that has been fuming for years.

Klitschko’s trainer connected with The Sun to shed light on the upcoming matchup and delivered some valuable advice for Joshua.

He said, “But it all depends on how AJ wants to fight. He can’t fight Fury like he fought Andy Ruiz in the second fight. And he definitely can’t fight Fury how he just fought Pulev the last fight. He has to figure out another way of fighting Fury. If AJ was to be real physical, that would be, to me, one of the best ways to fight him.”

Amid all the speculations and analysis, Fury vs Joshua is a fan-favorite fight, and similar to everyone, Jonathan Banks will also relish seeing the fight happen. No matter where it happens, Banks is eagerly waiting for the heavyweight clash.

He said, “The fight is huge. I don’t care where you put it but especially if you put it in the UK, that’s huge. Fury is the only one that’s undefeated, so you have to give the edge to the undefeated guy, I’m assuming.”

It looks like the stage is set for the biggest Heavyweight championship fight since Ali-Frazier in 1971, when @Tyson_Fury meets @anthonyfjoshua for the undisputed crown.
