Two-division world champion David Haye will come back to action against Joe Fournier on September 11, relinquishing a hiatus of over three years. Despite this long layoff, ‘Hayemaker’ stands tall before his undefeated opponent, who is merely 9-0 with no top-level achievements as a professional boxer. The two will collide at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in a Triller PPV, citing an exciting outcome to their clash.

Meanwhile, 40-year-old Haye can see his return as a means to activate his relevance in modern-day boxing with a few more fights. He has pointed at the possibilities, but not before this weekend. David Haye has frequently claimed that he will vanquish Fournier in a lopsided fashion in several interviews. Hence, he believes many will ask him to continue fighting.

David Haye said, “I’m preparing Joe Fournier the best I can. But for the moment, I’m not making future plans. I’m not looking past September 11.”

“When you see me in the ring when you see me move around, there will be people asking, ‘Why can’t you continue.” (H/T:- Boxing Scene).

He also looked back at his consecutive losses to Tony Bellew to state how it didn’t go per the plans. Hence, Haye put his full focus on Joe Fournier for the time being. The rest, he has teased to reveal after the fight.

“I’m not going to make any unnecessary predictions that yes, I’m going to make a comeback. I feel better than I have been. But when that first bell rings, I’m aware that anything can happen.”

Following that, Haye continued to train youngsters and various elites, retaining his shape throughout. Hence, a return to the ring might not be very tough for him. On winning the show, Haye can look to continue his career. However, suffering a defeat can be extremely harsh at this point in time.
