Mayweather was talking at the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame 10th Annual Induction Gala Weekend on August 27, 2022. It is worth noting that Mayweather was signed to Top Rank boxing at that time. And he was neither happy with the PPV views nor the fight purses. This was when he decided to leave the company in 2006. However, to do so, he had to exercise a long-standing clause in his contract by paying USD 750,000 to buy himself out.

There is no denying that this decision went on to reward Mayweather handsomely. As he further added, “In three fights, with Conor McGregor, Manny Pacquiao, and Canelo. I was able to make 750 million. But, I didn’t do it by myself. I’d have a great team and a great game plan.”

This unbelievable 100x return of investment has, in fact, proved that Mayweather is not only a skilled boxer but also an efficient businessman.
