WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has developed a close relationship with former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker. The heavyweight boxers have struck a great friendship over the years, with Fury even offering to train Parker for his upcoming fight.

Moreover, Parker even chose Fury’s cousin and former middleweight champion Andy Lee after ending an eight-year-long relationship with his former coach.

Lee is currently training Parker for his upcoming fight against Joe Joyce on September 24 for the WBO interim heavyweight title. This presents a great opportunity for both fighters to train together as Fury is currently under Lee’s camp. However, the former middleweight champion revealed that he doesn’t let the two heavyweight behemoths train together.

In an interview with Queensberry promotions, Lee stated that he didn’t let the two spar with each other because they have massive egos. He also claimed that this would not end well for either fighter, as the two might hurt each other while sparring.

No, I don’t let them spar. It’s two alpha males in that type of environment. You know it won’t end well. Someone landing a good punch, the other one trying. It’s not going to end well, so keep them apart.” He said.

Anthony Joshua Accepts December 3 Date To Fight Tyson Fury

This might not be entirely true as Fury and Parker have been filmed sparring together. However, it could be assumed that these were lighter sessions and not very intense.

The Irish boxer recently shared a video on his Instagram of him taking on Fury with the caption “Bodywork with Tyson”. The two can be seen working the body and showing off their rapid combinations. Moreover, Fury didn’t go easy on the much lighter Donovan but was matched by the welterweight star.
