Hearn affirmed, “It’s gonna take something, you know, a bit like Lomachenko, where he had to almost go to a weight class really to get beat.

“You’ve gotta hit him hard to keep him off. You know, Callum punches hard, but couldn’t put a dent in him, really, at any time.

“And, unfortunately, when you’ve got a fighter as good as that, who has a chin like that, it makes it very difficult,” he concluded.

Alvarez unquestionably has the best chins in the sport right now and the Matchroom supremo couldn’t agree more on that. He had words of wisdom for the Mexican boxer and felt the only way he can be beaten is going to weight classes that shake his comfort level.

Canelo has now won titles at a whopping four different weight classes. Over the years, he has only improved his boxing resume with constant wins.

Will Canelo Alvarez shift weight classes now?

With his recent win over Smith, Canelo has cemented his plans to stay at the 168-pound division. He is already in talks to take on Avni Yildirim to defend his WBC super-middleweight belt by March this year. Post that, he will chiefly go for a Billy Joe Saunders fight.

Alvarez will look to unify his super-middleweight titles. As of now, there are no indications from the promotion about him moving to the light heavyweight division or going down to his previous weight classes.
