17-year-old Floyd Diaz has expressed his respect for the unbeaten five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather, after securing his first professional win on debut. Hailing from Mayweather’s stable, Diaz was a renowned figure in the amateur circuit.
He had a lot of eyes on his maiden professional fight against Fernando Macias, and the young prodigy didn’t disappoint. The bantamweight contest went the distance, and Diaz bagged the win via unanimous decision. Following the outcome, he connected with FightHype and hailed Floyd Mayweather for always having his back.

Floyd Mayweather has always been helpful towards the young prodigies and has offered them the right path on certain occasions. There’s no denying that Floyd Diaz is also one of them. Being alongside one of the greatest boxers ever, Diaz registered a fruitful result on his debut.
However, the upcoming ride will demand more from him and he needs to be consistent throughout, just as Mayweather was for over two decades.
Whilst the prodigy has secured a win, the master is set for an exhibition bout.
