Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of his generation and has an unbeaten record of 50-0. Despite being 45 years old, he is still a massive draw in boxing.

The American boxer’s greatness is largely reflected by his perfect record, and while numbers don’t tell the whole story, Mayweather does base a large part of his argument on this, so it wasn’t a surprise when he once summed up his record with an appropriate remark.

Mayweather then added that he has always strived to be a perfectionist and commented on his record saying,” If I go to the gym slacking which I shouldn’t go to the gym slacking but I’m only human you know and like I said before I make mistakes but I strive every day to be a perfectionist and we all know god only made one thing perfect and that’s my boxing record

This led to a huge round of applause from the crowd present and also summed up Mayweather’s promoting skills perfectly.

It is very hard to argue against the fact that Floyd Mayweather has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest boxers of all time; he was a champion across five weight classes and has beaten some of the best boxers of our generation in Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, and Canelo Alvarez. He was also one of the best defensive boxers and could keep his opponents at bay and avoid their best punches with ease.

Although ‘Money’ was criticized for his style and for not always choosing the toughest opponent, he has certainly established himself as one of the best ever with a record that will always stay perfect.
