This move garnered vast criticism, but a huge chunk of boxing enthusiasts went in Dubois’s favor. They believed that he saved his career by not taking further damage.
The fight took place back in November 2020, and Dubois has overcome the same. His promoter Frank Warren recently confirmed his return, giving a timeline for May 2021.

Ever since that loss, the 23-year-old hasn’t begun his grilling workouts. He paid several visits to an eye specialist to examine the damage and has finally received some positive news.
Prior to confronting Joyce, the ‘Dynamite’ was cited as one of the best heavyweight prospects. His fans even considered him as the Mike Tyson of the heavyweight era. However, his dream of becoming the ultimate heavyweight world champion got shattered with that loss.
Joe Joyce overpowered his foe, Dubois, every single second in that contest. But the latter took it on his chin and moved forward.
