YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul has long awaited a tango in the ring with Tommy Fury. It was recently reported that the duo will face each other on August 6, 2022. However, it seems like Paul may have to wait longer to fight his ‘favorite’ opponent. There is speculation that Fury might be banned from flying to the US to fight Paul.

The speculation comes at a time when Tommy Fury‘s brother and father, Tyson Fury, and John Fury have been banned from entering the country.

John Fury was accused of blinding a man in a brawl at a car auction in 2010. Moreover, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2011. While he was released in 2015, his past prevented him from entering the United States. Meanwhile, Fury’s brother was also recently stopped after attempting to enter the country.

In a video, John Fury urged to not have the bout in the United States. He said, “You can have the fight on August 6 but it has got to be not in America because all of us at the minute are suspended and banned for life. I can’t get there at all.”

Further, he also added that since Tyson Fury is also unable to travel to the US, Tommy Fury would be left without a team.

Notably, Paul was also scheduled to have a press conference with Fury in NYC on June 29. However, the status of the same is uncertain due to the current scenario.

How does the Daniel Kinahan and Tyson Fury link hinder Tommy Fury’s fight?

Daniel Kinahan is a boxing manager and an alleged crime boss who was recently sanctioned by the US government. In fact, Kinahan is believed to be the leader of the narcotic smuggling outfit called the Kinahan Organised Crime Group. Moreover, the US Government also announced a reward of USD 5 million for aiding in his capture.

Meanwhile. Fury’s association with the alleged crime boss is well documented. Additionally, Fury once even publicly expressed his gratitude to Kinahan. And Kinahan was also involved in many of Fury’s previous fight deals. His link to Kinahan, in fact, paved the way for him to be banned from the United States.
