Many boxing critics have speculated that if the social media star, Jake Paul, had not entered the ring through his influential persona, then his skills would not have been overlooked. It makes sense when the boxing world does not give as much credit to ‘The Problem Child’ as they give to any other professional boxer for thrashing their opponent. After delivering some fantastic showdowns, Paul is gearing up to meet a genuine professional boxer.
Before squaring off in the ring on August 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York, the Ohio-based boxer compared his new opponent with that of legendary boxers. Doing this, he accused Floyd Mayweather, Gervonta Davis, and Canelo Alvarez of padding their record.

In an interview with ESPN, Paul praised himself for taking such a big risk in the initial stage of his career.
What did Jake Paul tell ESPN?
‘The Problem Child’ wanted to set an example for fighters of the young generation, who did not want to take risks in the budding stage of their career.
Taking a dig at a well-established pugilist’s career record, Paul said, “Floyd Mayweather’s sixth opponent was bobby keeper whose record was 19-8, Canelo’s sixth fight was Juan Hernandez whose record was 2-2, Gervonta Davis’s sixth fight was James Frank whose record was 2-8, Jake Paul’s sixth fight is Haseem Rehman Jr who’s 12-1, a heavyweight a bigger guy than me so this is what the sport needs.”

Furthermore, he added, “I think these boxers are always trying to pad their records and build up and take their time to get better that let’s dive into the deep end and make some exciting fights and I have a responsibility to my fans to fight to put on a show they’re waiting for.”
Paul is going to take a shot against his former sparring partner, who once assisted the YouTuber turned boxer in drawing a map to victory. It happened following a big turn of events. Paul’s rival Tommy Fury again pulled back due to visa issues, leaving the YouTuber high and dry. However, it was easy for Paul to replace Fury.
