Days after reports confirmed the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight to happen on December 18, ‘The Problem Child’ appears to have shifted focus towards other names. Following his fourth professional win against Tyron Woodley, Paul came across the most valid matchup against Tommy Fury.
The undefeated youngsters had sparked an interesting rivalry off-camera. It looked entertaining on-screen and also justified an in-ring scrap between them at the right time of their respective careers. However, Paul’s recent social media post cites him to be overlooking Tommy Fury for two other boxers.

In a recent tweet, Jake Paul belittled Fury’s 7-0 resume yet again and desired to face either Hector Lopez or Javier Martinez. Well, the post appears to be sarcastic but has already grabbed a lot of attention.
Jake Paul wrote, “7-0 Fury doesn’t cut it for my 5th fight I’m fighting either Hector Lopez or Javier Martinez next!! Hector was “Tanks” 8th opponent, came in 0-0 and retired 0-1. Hector was an MMAer who was 2-0 Javier was Canelos 10th opponent, entered the fight 0-0 and retired at 0-1.”

Javier Martinez had just one professional fight in 2007, which he lost to Canelo Alvarez via KO and never entered the ring again. Meanwhile, Hector Lopez saw a similar fate against Gervonta Davis in 2014. After losing his debut to ‘Tank’ Lopez never appear in a pro-boxing bout again. So, they clearly doesn’t make it to the big boy’s club any. way.
‘The Problem Child’ has been feuding with several boxers and MMA fighters on the Internet, with Gervonta Davis, and Canelo Alvarez being two of the many. The 24-year-old doesn’t leave a single chance to demean world champion boxers and his latest tweet was yet another sample of that.
Meanwhile, it can also create confusion regarding the potential Paul vs Fury bout, but the current situation validates it to happen at any cost. Notably, given the financial success of the deal, both sides can agree soon.

After attaining mere success as professional boxers, Paul and Fury are already relishing sheer stardom. Their social media success is another reason for all the attention they receive. As for their in-ring success, neither man has faced a prominent opponent. Their padded-up unbeaten records reflect social media stars, below-average boxers, and MMA fighters as the in-ring victims.
All these factors justify Paul vs Fury to upgrade one of their legacies. The fight has also raised eyebrows as promoters are willing to stage it in under a big banner. Hence, Paul shall not avoid the fight for anything at this point.
