Tyson Fury is back on top of the mountain, his throne now firm at the peak.

The Gypsy King made a rumbling come-back to the ring just two years back. An epitome of the saying “where there is a will, there is a way”, he has won every battle thrown his way by destiny. The undefeated Fury had left the sport owing to a tragically hazardous personal life. He was going through depression, drug addiction, and alcohol addiction all at once.

Like a true warrior, when there was little hope left, Fury powered through his grief and vices. He came back stronger than ever and met Deontay Wilder in December 2018. The fight ended in a controversial draw, immediately warranting a rematch.

The result of the rematch is something very fresh in all our minds. Fury has proven his mettle after returning from the dead and downing the best there is. Ideally, the next step for Tyson will be to clash with Anthony Joshua to unify the various Championships. Better yet, a trilogy with Deontay Wilder is out there on the table, waiting to be announced.

Yet, John Fury, Tyson’s father, has something else to say regarding the future. In an interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, John said, I want my son to retire now. He has done enough. It’s been an uphill battle for him. He can’t do it anymore. He has won every professional title. There’s more to life now. He has given it his all.”

Fury Sr. makes a strong argument. But has Fury truly given in his all, or does he have more to offer? A title unification will really win him an irreplaceable place in history. Meanwhile, John already has a plan as to where The Gypsy King should announce his retirement.

Tyson Fury should announce retirement when he meets Trump: John Fury

The President of The United States Of America, Donald Trump praised both Fury and Wilder in a press conference after the fight. Trump invited both fighters to the White House to pay his regards to them for the immense talent that both of them house.

“That’s good for a Fury, isn’t it? And I’m a big fan of Donald Trump”, said John. “What a great point to bow out on, a meeting at the White House.”

While John Fury makes unarguable points regarding all that Tyson has been through, is this really the time for Tyson to call it a day? Tyson seems in the best shape he has ever been in, even better than before he went down with his illnesses. The 31-year-old shows the sort of agility during a match that cannot be matched by anyone on the roster today. This might just be the most opportune time for ‘The Gypsy King’ to push the limits and set unbeatable records.

What do you think? Is it time for Fury to bow out or set out on a journey that will most probably end in truly eternal greatness?
