A couple of years back, the ongoing global pandemic brought the entire world to a standstill. Almost every industry, including sports and boxing, got deteriorated to a major extent. A lot of boxing events got canceled, and to prevent the spread of Covid-19, many events took place behind closed doors. A boxing biggie in Josh Taylor encountered the same.

Taylor, the undisputed super-lightweight king, might be at the peak of his career today. But things weren’t the same for him back when the pandemic impacted the boxing space.

Recently, on Sky Sports Boxing’s ‘The Gloves are Off’ show, Taylor shared honest notions about his hard time and more.

He said, “I don’t; I don’t feel any pressure. You know, I think I was born to perform on this level, you know. Even since I was a little kid, I was always saying I’m going to be a world champion at things and performing in front of crowds.”

“If anything for me, the lockdown was harder for me because it was in empty arenas. I love performing in front of a crowd, whether it be for me or against me. I love it full stop.”

Josh Taylor became the undisputed king of the 140-pound division last year. He beat the undefeated Jose Ramirez in this outing to claim all the belts on the line.

Since then, ‘The Tartan Tornado’ made it to the headlines for his next boxing test. But who is he fighting next?

Josh Taylor has a fight aligned for this weekend
