Lennox Lewis Confirms Fight With Mike Tyson in February 2022

Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis were rumored to lock horns in an exhibition after the former staged a commendable return against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. It paved the road for several veterans to come back, including Evander Holyfield. Unfortunately, as ‘The Real Deal’ suffered a crushing first-round TKO loss against Vitor Belfort in September 2021, it ended hopes of a potential trilogy between him and Tyson.
Meanwhile, it urged several people to provoke a second fight between ‘Lion’ Lewis and Mike Tyson. ‘Iron’ and Lewis fought an infamous scrap in 2002, which was filled with mutual hatred. Both men shared bad blood in the build-up, which ended with Lewis knocking out Tyson in the ring. Hence, there is genuine interest in seeing them fight in an exhibition setting.
When Eli Seckbach of ES News asked Lewis about the fight happening in February, ‘Lion’ replied, “Yeah.”

Tyson hasn’t said anything about the matchup and doesn’t seem to have commenced a camp for his return. If February was really when they are set to fight, he should have started training, or the promotional activities for the fight should have been in full swing.

As neither thing has started, it remains uncertain whether Lewis was actually serious with his statements. If yes, we can see a blockbuster fight that can grab massive attention from the combat community. Even if it doesn’t go down, Mike Tyson, who has several more names available onboard, can clearly cherry-pick his opponent.
Mike Tyson is at the top of the system
A few months back, Logan Paul was rumored to be in talks to meet Mike Tyson in an exhibition. Besides, Shannon Briggs has also called out Tyson in the past and shall accept the bout if offered the right price.
