‘Let’s Put This Behind Us and Work Together’: Jake Paul and Claressa Shields Squash Their Beef

Jake Paul has become an absolute star in the boxing world. The YouTuber turned boxer has generated some sound buzz around himself, with his statements, in-ring performances, and rivalries. Talking about rivalries, Paul has engaged in feuds with many biggies of combat sports. One of his more heated feuds came with Claressa Shields.

Recently, the two recently ended their rivalry and raised countless eyebrows in the fighting space. Paul first shared an article on Twitter that revealed ‘T-Rex’s wish to fight on his undercard.

The Problem Child‘ wrote, “Let’s put this behind us and work together to continue to build women’s boxing. ”

Shields retweeted it and said, “I’m always looking forward, feb 5th I’m back defending my world titles in boxing! That’s all I care about. God be with you in your future comings!”

The respect between the two hotshots seemed mutual. However, this wasn’t the case a few months back.

After her very first combat sports loss in the PFL, Paul hit out at ‘G.W.O.A.T.’, calling her a loser. ‘The Problem Child’ bagged some unprecedented reactions with these comments, and eventually, his beef with Shields only increased.

Post that, even ‘T-Rex’ went after Paul and took massive verbal shots at him. However, the two seem to be on good terms now, and Shields wanting to fight on Jake Paul’s undercard is actually a good sign.

Jake Paul is keen on making the biggest women’s boxing fight of all time

Jake Paul’s MVP promotes Amanda Serrano, and they’re trying to book the Puerto Rican’s next fight against Katie Taylor. Hence, it is clear that Paul has his sights set on making the biggest women’s boxing fight of all time.

As Shields also seems to be coming into the picture, Paul can actually make the biggest women’s boxing event altogether. Should the G.W.O.A.T. win on February 5, she may box Savannah Marshall next.

That said, if ‘The Problem Child’ and his team can make Taylor vs Serrano, and Shields vs Marshall on the same card, it’ll be a treat for the fans.
