Mike Tyson Admits to Robbing Kids Like His Daughter at 12 Years of Age

Mike Tyson, the heavyweight stalwart, had a troubled teenage life before he found boxing as a sanctuary to realize his dreams. Tyson had been to prison several times, and if not for his mentor, Cus D’Amato, fans could have missed out on a great pugilist in him.

While Tyson reached the pinnacle of boxing and achieved glory with his unprecedented dominance, he doesn’t hesitate to talk about his time before boxing. In his recent podcast with WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, ‘Iron’ Mike made a shocking revelation.

He contrasted his life with his kids and said, “My kids are better than me now. Right now, my kids are better than me. Because my daughter, she is 12, I was locked up at 12. And she is a smart a** at 12. Spoilt, have everything. I used to rob children like that. Now, I raise children like that. Life is great.”

Controversies found a path to Mike Tyson, even after he became the heavyweight world champion. Tyson faced imprisonment later in his career and was bankrupt in 2003. So, it’s safe to say that he has always faced dark days in some form.

That said, he also returned stronger from them. Despite losing all his wealth in 2003, he regained the riches in style. Today, he has his own podcast and several other business ventures, including a popular cannabis ranch. Furthermore, thanks to his exhibition bow, Tyson, is also relevant in the current boxing world.

The former heavyweight champion staged his return against Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition battle on November 28, 2020. The fight was declared a draw, but Tyson showcased his prowess and dominated ‘Captain Hook’.

Apart from that, ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ continues to interview current boxing sensations and is a prime reason for instigating fights. In recent times, Tyson has planted the seeds for a fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis, alongside another contest between Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney.
