Nobody Can Outbox Tyson Fury, Claims Josh Taylor

A heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will clear a lot of doubts in the boxing community. Being two of the biggest superstars and world champions of the sport, Fury and Joshua have always been put side by side. However, it is hard to tell who will emerge victorious in the contest.

Anthony Joshua is a knockout specialist and Tyson Fury is an undefeated veteran. Thus, they can drag each other to the deepest end. Meanwhile, several fans and boxing superstars have given their opinion on the matchup.

Recently, undefeated British boxer Josh Taylor revealed his stance on the matchup. Although he respects both, Taylor is very confident about one of them.

Taylor, 29, sat down in the recent episode of Behind The Gloves to discuss several things. While he gave a lot of insight into his boxing career, Taylor picked a favorite between ‘The Gypsy King’ and ‘AJ.’

Josh Taylor comfortably picked Tyson Fury over Anthony Joshua. However, he didn’t rule out Joshua’s chances in the matchup.

Taylor said, “I favor Fury, I don’t think anybody can outbox him. I don’t think anybody can get near him in the heavyweight division.”

He also had something special to say about Joshua. Hailing AJ’s combinations and strength, Taylor said:

Anthony Joshua is a very good combination puncher, very strong, carries his power…  At the short-range — very effective but long-range boxing — he’s quite easily outboxed and outmaneuvered.”

Moreover, he said that Fury cannot stand in front of Joshua. Not only that, but Taylor also said that AJ vs Fury will be an interesting fight to witness.

However, this matchup might not happen soon. Both Fury and Joshua will defend their titles against Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev, respectively.

Only if they get past their upcoming opponents and Joshua doesn’t have to defend his titles against any further mandatory challengers, Fury vs Joshua can happen. As per Fury, he wants to fight in 2021. If things fall in place, the blockbuster event can happen.
