Floyd Mayweather appeared near-perfect in his two-decade-long boxing career, winning 50 professional bouts and world titles in five separate weight classes. That said, he remained unbeaten, walking away as arguably the best boxer of this generation.

While boxing is one of the most vicious sports in the world, several legends have suffered defeats. Although Floyd Mayweather remained an exception, he wasn’t completely immune to taking damage.

Mayweather took considerable punishment from several of his opponents. Despite that, he had the last laugh. In this list, we will take a look at the champions who had a crack at legend, making him look like a man in the ring.

It was the only time Mayweather got knocked down in his pro journey. Nevertheless, he regained his flow in the latter stage and departed with a win.

In another bout in 2014, Marcos Maidana exposed a few holes in Mayweather’s game. The first fight was extremely close, and many had tipped their hat to Maidana, crafting the road for a rematch.

Maidana successfully clipped Mayweather several times in the fight and looked pretty dominant. But he had to receive the heat from the other end and eventually lost the bout on points. That said, Marcos Maidana could clearly put a dent on Mayweather’s impeccable defense.

In 2006, Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather unveiled one of the most keenly awaited matchups in the sport. Both the fast-paced boxers had a lot of common features. Thus, it made sense for them to box each other.

The fight began with Judah’s lightning speed, which puzzled Mayweather. Despite getting hurt, the unbeaten boxer regained himself in the latter rounds and won.

That said, elites like Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Shane Mosley, and many more champions tried their luck against Mayweather. However, they had to bow down to him, as despite hurting him, they couldn’t beat him.
