The former six-weight class champion Oscar De La Hoya is going through big chaos. The Olympic gold medalist has received an offer that could make him a billionaire. But he is unable to reach the conclusion, as in exchange the former champ has to sell his promotion company ‘Golden Boy Promotions’ that he founded in 2002. Since then, the 49-year-old has invested massive energy to establish it as a leading promotion company in the sport of boxing.
Certainly, the stakes are high. Either continue his promoting venture and go down in history as a Hall of Famer promoter or sell the company and become a billionaire.
Amid heavy confusion, ‘The Golden Boy of Boxing’ took to Twitter and wrote, “Just received a 10 figure offer to sell @GoldenBoyBoxing what should I do?”

In an interview with ESPN, the former champ clarified his plans.
He said, “I’m sitting on a billion-dollar company. And I can’t wait to get rid of it. And most importantly, I can’t wait to be the very first fighter ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a promoter as well. These are goals that I have.”
However, before selling his company, De La Hoya wanted to materialize a few bouts. One of them is a highly anticipated bout between heated rivals, the WBA (Regular) lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and star boxer of ‘Golden Boy Promotions’ Ryan Garcia.
What is the net worth of Oscar De La Hoya?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the net worth of De La Hoya is $200million. After retiring from the sports, the Hall of Famer boxer started new ventures and emerged as a highly successful boxing promoter and investor.
