Romero further added that he realized the importance of Mayweather’s advice over the course of a few fights. He said, “It started clicking and I was like bro I need to keep my f**king weight down you know.”
Moreover, he also gave an insight on what it was invaluable for him to stay at a lower weight. Romero said, “I mean if you’re training at a different weight, and then you fight at a different. Then you’re fighting way smaller. You know it’s your body’s not reacting the same way you know. So you know that’s what he’d always tell me.”
He also mentioned that Mayweather told him that he had ‘dynamite power’ and the potential to be a champion.
