Both fighters are constantly gaining accolades since they stepped into the professional ring. Oscar Valdez has been a heavy puncher and had a marvelous record of 23 knock-outs. He is more experienced than Shakur.
However, Shakur has a little height and reach advantage. Along with that, he is not a hard crusher. Instead, he finishes opponents with accurate punching skills and constantly throws jabs for 12-rounds.

Oscar Valdez is a belligerent fighter. The 31-year-old Mexican successfully defended his first WBC super-featherweight title against Brazilian boxer Robson Conceicao in September. Though judges favored Valdez, it was a close bout. The only reason that possibly assisted him in defending the title was that his punches were more solid and clean. Truly, it was a tough fight for Valdez as Robson’s speed and steady jab unsettled Valdez. His face showed signs of the beating he took before the fight ended.
However, the former Olympic silver medalist Shakur crafted a remarkable set of skills against his previous opponent, Jamel Herring. He outboxed Herring with a technical knock-out in the 10th round in Atlanta, Georgia. It was an easy win for Shakur. He delivered multiple shots and showed his impeccable fighting skills. He caught Herring in the early rounds of the fight and masterfully executed his strategy. Setting up the opponent and punishing him tirelessly for 12-rounds and knowing the fact that he can’t fight back with his defensive tactics.
