The Mountain From Game of Thrones Says He Has ‘Never Been Knocked Out, Never Been Knocked Down in Sparring’

Hafthor Bjornsson, the Mountain from the Game of Thrones, is actively taking part in boxing drills ahead of a rumored boxing bout against Eddie Hall. The fight was supposed to go down in 2021, but got pushed back as Hall suffered an injury. While we can expect them to meet in-ring this year, Bjornsson appears confident about his abilities.

In a chat with IFL TV, Hafthor Bjornsson shared several scenarios surrounding his boxing journey. He also detailed the constant progress that he has made over time in sparring.

Bjornsson said, “I have never been knocked out, never been knocked down in sparring, but so far it hasn’t been bothering me. It probably bothered me more in the beginning. Because if you look back, if you look at the pictures of me. The first few months of me starting this journey.”

“I had a black eye every single time. I had a back eye, a bloody nose, I was just f*** because firstly I was doing it wrong. I was sometimes sparring with 10-ounce gloves? Absolutely ridiculous.”

While Bjornsson believes he can overwhelm his loyalists by stepping through the ropes, he also seems confident in overpowering Eddie Hall in an in-ring setup.

Bjornsson vs Hall doesn’t have an official fight date onboard, but both sides are preparing to unveil their best. The Game of Thrones star has several backers in his corner. Apart from Tyson Fury, former WBO super featherweight champion Alex Arthur is also on The Mountain’s side.

Per reports, Arthur had sent a warning to Eddie Hall on Twitter.
