Tyson Fury is one of the most popular athletes in the world of combat sports. He brings a unique skill set inside and outside the ring alike. His aptitude for psychological warfare is just as exceptional as that for physical warfare. Fury is adept at getting into the heads of his opponents ahead of their fight to intimidate them.

One such example is the time when The Gypsy King got banned from Wikipedia. It was repeatedly editing Wladimir Klitschko’s page that got Fury booted off the page.

These shenanigans were a part of Fury’s pre-fight mind games, to throw Klitschko off his game ahead of their title fight.

“I did it because it is a public site and I just wanted to prove that anyone can write whatever they want on Wikipedia because it’s public. If you want to go on and edit my profile, you can.”- Tyson Fury

Fury managed a shocking victory against Klitschko but it seems like he could not take him down in the digital ring.

Tyson Fury At The Receiving End of This Trick

Fury claims he had to keep editing his profile on the site. Someone kept editing Fury’s page on Wikipedia stating that the fighter had retired. When in reality he had not.

“I have not edited anything on mine but because I am the lineal champion, someone keeps going on and putting that I am retired. I am clearly not retired, so I keep changing it back to active but every time I change it to active, someone changes it back to retired. Someone obviously wants me retired.”- Tyson Fury

A theory suggesting that Wilder was the one responsible for changing Fury’s page came up. But the Gypsy King had a theory of his own. According to Fury, it was someone from London who kept editing his page. Forcing the fighter into an early retirement.
