Another twenty-four hours to go for the biggest crossover fight of our times. Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are sitting at the most critical juncture of their careers. Paul, despite having a spotless record of six wins with knockouts, has had to defend himself from accusations of cherry-picking his fights. This is because not even a single of his bouts has been against a dyed-in-the-wool boxer. Finally, against Tommy Fury, he can redeem his name and silence all the critics and naysayers.

On the opposite corner, Tommy Fury comes from a well-entrenched and highly regarded boxing family that includes the reigning WBC world Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. But the twenty-three-year-old orthodox boxer is facing his share of critics. They lament the once reality-show runners-up who boast eight wins without any losses. Moreover, he has been accused of fighting not-so-good fighters, some of whom, per records, have not won a single fight in their lives. Hence given the beef with Paul, whose boxing skills even seasoned champions appreciated, Fury might as well use the opportunity to silence long-time critics.

Fans react to the fight purse rumors

@donadilll could barely believe the amount Tommy Fury would receive. According to him, he was guaranteed $2.5 million only!

Responding to @glovesoffboxing, who commented that it is probably Jake Paul who runs the show in boxing nowadays, @LastCallwChrisC thanked Saudis. The latter loved the way Saudi Arabia spent money lavishly. He says it resembles a group of inebriated stock brokers in a nightclub.

@dgw2450 is sure that the fight will end with Jake Paul’s victory. Hence he should be getting Tommy Fury’s share of $7 million as well, totaling his paycheck to $32 million!

@JoninhoMorgano deliberated that Tommy Fury receives over $5.5 million for an eight-round match. Therefore, unless he has plans to win a rematch with Paul, he should consider himself fortunate for netting such a considerable amount and retire for good.

@IanWebber78 seems to be under the belief that the winner of the fight will take home $32 million. According to him, there are many fights following such norms.

@Raider7597 finds it unbelievable that Jake Paul is getting $25 million. According to him, ‘The Problem Child’ has duped many people into watching a bunch of drivel. Anyhow he seems to have done wonders with it.

Probably taking potshots at Fury, @SGB798 wondered how Tommy Fury would find his way back home after handing over his purse money of $7 million to Jake Paul.
