A few days back, David Haye made his return to the boxing circuit. He beat the undefeated Joe Fournier, making a solid statement in his return. But his post-fight call out to the WBC heavyweight champ, Tyson Fury has the attention of all the fans, making this matchup the talk of the town.

Haye and Fury are long-time rivals, and the fans are well acquainted with the duo’s rift. In the past, the two have exchanged some fiery words with each other, but since Haye moved out of the game, things seemed to have settled down.

However, Haye called out Fury again and fans expect to see a tussle between the two. Recently, the Matchroom boss, Eddie Hearn, gave his take on the entire matter and revealed why Fury could indeed fight Haye.

Speaking to IFL TV, he said, “I wouldn’t even be surprised if Tyson Fury does it. Because it would be a way for him to avoid Anthony Joshua, it would probably make some decent money. Some people are about that life and some people aren’t.” (h/t Michael Benson)

Joshua and Fury were slated to fight each other with all their titles on the line. The two were eager to get in the ring with each other but the fight abruptly fell through with Deontay Wilder demanding a third fight against Fury.

Since then, Joshua and his promoter, Hearn, haven’t spared a single chance to take a shot at ‘The Gypsy King’. As a result, Hearn in his above interview explained why the WBC champ might entertain a fight with Haye.
