It is almost two months since Tyson Fury retired from professional boxing. His last fight was against his fellow training partner and former WBC interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte. Bereft of controversies, Fury retired undefeated, healthy, and with enough in his bank. Therefore, to a degree, it made some sense when he announced his retirement from the sport. However, fans and boxing experts do not seem entirely convinced, and they are still skeptical about Fury’s current stance.

To add weight to this, Paris Fury, wife of ‘The Gypsy King’ herself, believed there to be unfinished business. In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Fury, on being told that there were only a few who were buying his retirement statement, said this:

“I think I’m the only person who actually believes in what I’m saying. A lot of people are saying, ‘Oh, Tyson Fury doesn’t know when he’s telling the truth himself’.” 

“The future will tell if I’m telling the truth or not,” he added.

Tyson Fury is adamant, and to strengthen his own statement, lately, he has even demanded a half-a-billion to return to the sport. Irrespective of what others think, Fury advocates to firmly believe in what he says to the world.

But, jokes apart, is there still one fight that could bring ‘The Gypsy King’ back to boxing? Many opine that the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2 could possibly bring that one unresistible fight.

His numbers are 24-2-0. ‘AJ’ is 32, two years younger than Fury, and 22 of his wins come by a way of a knockout. In addition, he stands 6’6″ tall and has a reach of 82″.

On the other hand, Usyk is 35; he is almost two years older than Tyson. So far, he has had 19 professional fights in boxing. Still unbeaten, his numbers are 19-0-0. He stands 6’3″ with a reach of 78″. 13 of his victories have arrived with a knockout.
