Martial arts is not only a way of life, but when closely looked at, it is a miniature of life itself. Boxing, being part of martial arts, has all the qualities that one daily greets – the conflict, the confrontation, the setback, and the counter.

The road ahead is fraught with difficulties, and perfection is hope. We can’t say if Floyd Mayweather has attained perfection, but if there is one thing that has gone close to it, then it is his record in pro boxing. 50-0! Unheard of, it is a record that one would treasure.

Fifty have tried and all fifty have failed. Mayweather, now officially retired, remains unbeaten, his record unhammered, and his code uncracked. After ‘Money’ fought Conor McGregor in 2017 and reached fifty professional wins, several times he took part in exhibitions. While Mayweather’s motto was to stay unbeaten and retire as the best boxer of his time, every opponent he faced looked forward to handing ‘Pretty Boy’ his first-ever career loss in pro boxing. It is about the time when Mayweather appeared on Cold As Ba**s with host Kevin Hart. Prior to getting inside the ice tubs, Kevin Hart hesitated and talked about his injuries. At this, Mayweather accused Hart of acting like he was an athlete and claimed that even though Hart had a Nike deal, he by no sense of the word was an athlete.

In response, ‘The Comedic Rockstar’ Kevin Hart said, “Hold on now, champ. Don’t square up on me like that. I’m just saying you don’t wanna be 50-1.”

At this, Mayweather used an expletive, and let go of Hart.
