UFC commentator Joe Rogan has called out former 6 division champion and renowned boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya. The latter was recently the talk of the boxing world after revealing a shocking change in his abdominal muscles.

Moreover, the 49-year-old’s recent change sparked a debate in the community about whether his abs were surgically planted. Rogan also gave his insights on Golden Boy’s recent transformation and whether he thought the abs were real or fake.

Joe Rogan comments on Oscar De La Hoya’s fake abs

In a recent episode of his podcast the JRE, along with guest UFC welterweight contender Belal Muhammad, Rogan was surprised at De La Hoya’s transformation. He claimed that Golden Boy didn’t have abs during his illustrious boxing career but has a visible six-pack now. He then also speculated whether his abs were natural or not.

“Why did Oscar De La Hoya have fake abs? have you seen that bro Oscar De La Hoya has done fake abs, something’s going on man like Oscar De La Hoya didn’t have abs thoughout his boxing career. Look at him now bro, what’s going on there? Either he has some fake abs or he going semi glutide one or the other” said Rogan.

De La Hoya’s recent transformation has made a lot of fans speculate that he has surgically altered his abs. However, he did put rumors to rest after coming out and revealing the real reason for his six-pack.

Oscar De La Hoya reveals the reality behind his abs

‘Golden Boy’ revealed that his abs were indeed implants added by plastic surgery. This came after De La Hoya uploaded a social media post promoting Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis, scheduled for April where he hinted his abs might be paid for and not earned.  “Good luck @gervontaa! P.S I paid way too much money for these abs to ever wear a shirt again.” he wrote.

De La Hoya might have gotten implants, but has come out openly about this. Despite the criticism, he has every right to alter his body as he pleases and his coming out is certainly commendable given the harsh trolling he received.
