Former pugilist turned promoter Oscar De La Hoya is open to partnering with the UFC President Dana White to infuse more entertainment into boxing.

While several promoters like Bob Arum has always had a rather turbulent relationship with White, Golden Boy CEO seems to be excited at the prospect of working alongside the UFC frontman.

That said, Dana White has always touted his interest in entering the boxing business. Other than spearheading the UFC, White has also teased launching Zuffa Boxing several times in the past.

However, that dream has not yet materialized into something meaningful. Meanwhile, White had successfully unveiled a cross-promotion matchup in 2017 when he lined up Conor McGregor against Floyd Mayweather.

The blockbuster night is still recognized as one of the biggest events in the sport, citing White’s ability to garner attention in the boxing world. Therefore, De La Hoya’s interest in collaborating with the MMA kingpin seems unsurprising.

‘The Golden Boy’ while in conversation with SiriusXMBoxing said, “I actually urge Dana White to try and do something with the sport of boxing, why not?

“I actually wouldn’t mind sitting down with Dana White and figuring something out. Imagine that, UFC and Golden Boy partnering up and taking boxing by storm.”

Both the promoters hail from two unique worlds but have some of the biggest superstars in their backyards. White handles the entire UFC, inclusive of superstars like McGregor, Francis Ngannou, and Stipe Miocic.

Meanwhile, Golden Boy also boasts some A-listers like Ryan Garcia and Joseph Diaz Jr. While Canelo Alvarez was also on the list, he recently left the promotion following some contractual trouble.
