‘Seems Like I Am Your Only Fan’- Jake Paul Mocks Henry Cejudo

Right after his vicious TKO win over Nate Robinson, Jake Paul called out some notable names from MMA, particularly the UFC. He included the Notorious Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, and Ben Askren in his list of fighters he wants to touch gloves with. One such name he wasn’t too interested to fight was Henry Cejudo.

Striking while the iron was hot, Cejudo targeted Paul for a fight. Post that, the duo constantly trained shots et each other through a Twitter war.

‘The Triple C’ called out Paul for a fight, but the American seemed uninterested in responding. Subsequently, Cejudo took to his Twitter handle again, sharing a signed screenshot of Jake Paul’s Twitter account.

“I had no idea this dirt bag @jakepaul was a fanboy! Sign the contract and you might have your dream of meeting your idol Triple C! Ps I’m sending a digital autograph for you baby” wrote Cejudo.

This time, ‘The Problem Child’ was quick enough to fire shots at the UFC legend.

Jake Paul wrote, “I’m a huge fan!! You’re the mini champ! But it seems like I’m your only fan because the purses I buy my girlfriend are worth more than your fight purses. where your PPV #’s at champ? 

Jake Paul fought on November 28th, 2020, on the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. card. He amazed combat sports fans by putting Nate Robinson to sleep in the second round of the fight.

Will we get to see Jake Paul vs Henry Cejudo in 2021?

Henry Cejudo, the first ‘Triple Champion’ of the UFC, fought at UFC 249 against his arch-nemesis, Dominick Cruz. Cejudo defended his bantamweight title that night and hung his gloves up immediately after that fight.

He debuted in the UFC in 2014 and possessed a significant 16-2 MMA record. In 2008, he also won an Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling.

On the other hand, Jake Paul made his pro-Boxing debut earlier this year. He has grabbed 2 wins in a row since his debut, knocking both his opponents out.

Even if both Cejudo and Paul have challenged each other, the chances of this bout actually materializing seem bleak as ‘Triple C’ competed last at 135 pounds and Paul at 189 pounds. Jake Paul is too big for a guy like Cejudo.

Nevertheless, we might see both these men collide in an exhibition fight with a few rules and conditions. It would be exciting to see where the duo competes, MMA or Boxing.
