Rose Namajunas will return to the octagon for a rematch against Jessica Andrade at the strawweight division. Both the fighters squared off against each other last year in May at UFC 237, where Jessica Andrade emerged as the winner. In doing so, she also became the UFC strawweight champion of the world.

The former strawweight champion, Rose Namajunas dominated most of the fight when both these fighters first met, however, Andrade managed a slam KO in the second round to win the match.

While Andrade would later lose the title to Zeili Whang at UFC Fight Night by a first-round knockout, Namajunas did not compete inside the octagon in 2019 after the loss. Both the former champions will face each other yet again at UFC 249 at Barclays Centre, New York.

Rose Namajunas will look for redemption in the comeback fight

Namajunas is expected to come back stronger after a shocking defeat via a slam KO, something which isn’t very common with most of the UFC fights. Zhang Weili knocked out Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night. So two former champions will face each other. Additionally, it looks like if Namajunas is able to win, she might be next for the UFC gold.
