The goalkeeper won his 4th Ligue 1 goalkeeper of the year award this year and is the most decorated Ligue keeper in the last 5 years. He has also been named in the Ligue 1 team of the year on four occassions. Mandanda has the 4th highest number of saves in Ligue 1 over the last 3 seasons and also made highest no. of penalty stops (3) during that time. He has also successfully claimed more crosses than any other keeper in last four Ligue 1 seasons.

All this played a major factor as Palace went after him and struck a 3 year deal  for an undisclosed fee. He is currently on duty for France in Euro 2016. With talents like Mandanda and Cabaye at his disposal and a manager like Alan Pardew, Palace can easily compete for a Europa place and who knows if they can surprise the way Leceister did last season.
