The team, on Wednesday, confirmed that he suffered a left sided facial fracture, listing him as day to day.

He has played wearing a mask in 2017, when he also expressed his discomfort with the mask.

“It’s just a piece of plastic on your face,” he had said. “It’s the difference of having something over your face. It’s almost like having somewhat foggy blinders on. When I take off the mask, I can see everything and when I have the mask on, I’m really dialed into what’s in front of me.”

On what the Nets have stated about his injury saying it as day to day, it does not appear, he might have to put on a mask once again, but you never know with injuries.

As for the Nets, a lot will be expected off the star point guard, who came off a prolific last season for Boston Celtics where he averaged 23.8 points per game and managed a career high 6.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game. His $141 million max contract with the Nets will give rise to an exciting prospect of him linking with Kevin Durant, who also signed for the Nets this season after three years with Golden State Warriors.
