The upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War title has made a great first impression. Right from the trailer announcement to the Alpha mode, the developers have managed to build the hype around the game. From time to time, game designer Tony Flame has provided us with some amazing updates regarding the game’s mechanics. His recent announcement has made console players all over the world happy.

Tony took to Twitter to announce that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will have a FOV slider across all platforms. “How would you like an FOV Slider on console? How about on all platforms? Ok. Done.”

This is brilliant news considering Modern Warfare and Warzone do not have a Field of View slider for consoles. It is only available for PC players, which makes for an unfair advantage. This addition will bridge the gap between the console and PC users. It will also be a great sight if this is implemented in Warzone along with Black Ops Cold War.

Big changes coming to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Beta

This isn’t the first time Tony has intrigued the fans with his announcement. Earlier, he tweeted, “If you liked the Gunsmith stat percentage readouts for Attachments in Alpha, just wait until you see the next layer of depth in Beta Gunsmith.”

Not only does this help build the anticipation for the game, but also shows that the developers have been listening to the players’ feedback. This is a great sign for the game and it will only help in making the title a success on launch.

The only thing missing from the series of announcements is a great anti-cheat system. This is something that is missing from both Modern Warfare and Warzone. Moreover, cheaters/hackers have practically ruined the experience for others and the developers have failed to address the situation. Even though they recently banned around 20,000 accounts, the problem still persists.

There have been rumors that Activision is working on an anti-cheat for the upcoming title. If that is true, it will be a huge help for both casual and competitive settings. With the Call of Duty League moving from PlayStation to PC, it will be a great way to keep track of cheaters/hackers in the game.

The Black Ops Cold War beta starts on September 8 for PS4 users and October 15 onwards for PC and Xbox players.
