Call of Duty: Nickmercs Mocks Activision’s Handling of Hackers

Call of Duty Warzone being cram-full of hackers is no news. WZ is a game that uncovered a lot of potential in the world of battle royale games and it would be a shame to see it getting abandoned by players because of that one problem. Players have been blaming Activision for having a rather loose anti-cheat system. Cheaters have been compromising the competitive integrity of the CoD franchise for a long time now and it looks like the problem has peaked with WZ.

Recently, the CoD pro Nickmercs posted a video that he calls ‘educational’, on his YouTube channel. He starts off by ranting about the present hacker-infestation in Warzone.

Nick has previously been vocal before about this issue on Twitter as well.
First the Grau, now the Bruen. There will be something next & something after. Not to mention how the bots all quit as time goes on so the game naturally becomes more sweaty.
If anything is shitting on Warzone right now it’s the hackers imo.

Nick too blames Activision for not coming up with harsh steps to counter the issues. In his words,
“What would happen if someone just walked into a bank, robbed the bank, and the bank said, ‘Hey man, I know you just robbed this bank. But could you please not do that again? That would be nice.'”

At the beginning of the video, he goes on to tell the viewers about the kinds of hacks they are facing. In addition to the simple aimbots, aim locks, and aim assists, he goes on to talk about wallhacks, radar hack, macros that remove the recoil, auto-fire, and auto-knife.
Wallhacks are something that a lot of you might be familiar with. It’s a hack that lets the player see other players beyond walls. Not only that, but this hack also shows you the player tags of the other players. The radar hack, as Nickmercs explains, is like the UAV scorestreak but it remains on throughout the game. Auto-fire and auto-knife are self-explanatory and are as frustrating as they sound.
It is about time that Activision and Infinity Ward look into this issue more closely and make efforts to pull this game out of this decadence. Otherwise, WZ will quickly lose its player base and will become unfit to be a part of competitive gameplay.
