The Premier League Season is well underway and the race is on to get to the top of the table. Three teams that are in with a shout of the title are Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea FC. With the likes of Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte, three managerial powerhouses, at the helm, these 3 clubs have emerged as the strong favourites.

United currently sit on top of the Premier League charts with two easy wins over West Ham and Swansea. The new recruits, Matic and Lukaku are settling in snugly in the squad and playing vital roles in the two victories. Club legend Ryan Giggs has even tipped the Red Devils to finally lift the PL cup this season. He believes that United has a perfect blend of experience and creativity. “When Jose Mourinho’s sides get going they are very difficult to stop. He’s done in the past and, while it’s important dealing with the expectations with the media making a lot of it, managing that is something he is great at.”

Moving on to Manchester City, the neighbours have not got of to a start quite like United’s but they are very much on the hunt. After starting their campaign with a win, they drew with Everton and dropped to 5. Guardiola was understandably disappointed at not being able to come away with a win, but he was relieved when Raheem Sterling came off the bench and banged in an equaliser to save City the blushes. Some would call into question Guardiola’s tactics, but he defended the team by saying that the boys created 3-4 chances in front of the goal and tried to find a way to attack Everton.

Chelsea FC had an even worse start than Man City, kicking off their first game with a 3-2 defeat to Burnley, however, they made up for it in the next fixture where they beat Tottenham 2-1. However, Chelsea fans have begun to panic especially after the news that Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard could get a call up for the World Cup Qualifiers. It leaves them wondering who will fill up the gap in the midfield if Hazard is unavailable.

While the season has only just begun, predictions are already rolling in as to who win triumph in the Premier League according to Sports Betting Dime:

“City, United, and Chelsea were the preseason favorites, in that order. There wasn’t much separating the three, since they all have proven coaches and well=stocked rosters. After the opening salvo of the season, the Manchester squads retain their place at the top. United, in particular, have been impressive, with a pair of 4-0 wins. Take those wins with a grain of salt, of course, since they came against Swansea City and West Ham, who combined for a -42 goal-difference last season. Chelsea takes an immediate hit in the odds thanks to a stunning home loss to Burnley in their first game. They pulled their second game — and potentially their season — out of the fire this weekend when Marcos Alonso scored late to beat Spurs on the road. But you still have to be concerned from what you’ve seen so far. The Totties outshot Chelsea 19 to 9 and carried over two-thirds of the possession. Not every team will be as generous with the mistakes and scoring-chances as Spurs were on Sunday. Chelsea needs to be better — quickly — if they’re going to keep pace at the top of the table.”

After starting the year around 7/2 (22% chance), we’re already dropping the Blues’ title chances to 11/2 (15.4%).
