Conor McGregor took on Donald Cerrone in his octagon return at UFC 246 in Las Vegas. Conor looked absolutely brilliant in his return fight against Cerrone. The former lightweight and featherweight champion continued to pressure veteran Cerrone in the face multiple times with his shoulders – appearing to break his nose – before connecting a high-kick, to finish the fight with a flurry of punches.

McGregor received a lot of praise for 40-second knock out of Donald Cerrone in his wleterweight return. McGregor competed in the ring after a long gap of 15 months and came out unscathed after the fight. Cerrone failed to land a single strike in the fight, which lasted a mere 40 seconds.

Although Kavanagh, a long-lasting mentor of McGregor, had anticipated a stand-out performance from McGregor, he recently said the match would almost certainly go to the fourth or fifth round with an inevitable knockout win. Kvaanagh was surprised when McGregor finished the fight within 40 seconds into the first round.
“I did say repeatedly that I thought this would be the best Conor McGregor of all time, but I didn’t know that it was going to be this good a version. He really seems to have reached a different level of athleticism now than he’s ever had in his career.”
