Colby Covington is one of the hottest things in UFC right now. Not only his ability to get the whole arena turn against him and chant “ Colby Suck” but also his abilities to maul fighters inside the octagon has catapulted Colby Covington to new heights of stardom.

In his last fight against Robbie Lawler, Colby put such an amazing performance that even his haters had to take their hats off to admire the great display of martial arts. Colby did something that has never been done before. Colby Covington broke Robbie Lawler with his relentless pressure, never-ending chain wrestling, and about 600 strikes. the win against Lawler secured Colby’s place for a fight against the current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

In a recent interview with Brendan Schaub, Colby Covington discussed his next opponent and revealed how he is going to beat Kamaru Usman when they step into the octagon.

One thing Colby’s performance against Lawler reminded us off, that is how Kamaru Usman dominated Tyron Woodley for five rounds to win the title. More or less it was a very similar fight. Both Colby and Usman used their wrestling to dominate their opponents and made them hesitate to throw even a single strike.

When Brendan Schaub asked Colby about Usman’s performance against Woodley, Colby said:

“Usman is a Division 2 scrub. He beat a Woodley that’s past his prime. A Woodley that’s doing rap album about me,  a Woodley that’s on TMZ, a Woodley that’s an analyst for UFC. He doesn’t even train anymore. He is cashed out. Tyron Woodley isn’t the same Tyron Woodley from five years ago. So I don’t think there is anything impressive in that win over Woodley he has.”

Colby Covington is also not impressed with Usman’s wins over Rafael Dos Anjos and Damian Maia, two veterans of the sports. Talking about those wins, Colby said:

“He took my sloppy seconds. After I decimated and destroyed Damian Maia, and left him in the pool of his own blood in Brazil, his home town, filthy animals which is a dump, Usman took my sloppy seconds. And then he goes after another sloppy second, Rafli DOs Nachos. The guy that was supposed to be the face of Brazilian MMA, who was going to save Brazil from Colby Covington, the king of BRazil. I left him in a pool of his own blood too.”

To Colby’s defense, he did dominate two of the veterans of the sport, Damian Maia and Rafael Dos Anjos.

Colby Covington has no limits when it comes to trash talk his opponents or foes. Colby recently generated nuclear heat for passing an insensitive comment about the Hall of Famer,  Matt Hughes. Colby has also gotten into the skin of Jon Jones with his savagery. In short, it’s no holds barred when you get into a feud with Colby Covington. And Usman just experiencing it first hand as he sets to fight Colby Covington to defend his title later this year.
