Ravindra Jadeja is one of the best fielders in the Indian cricket team. Every time anyone puts the light of doubt on him, he comes back with a brilliant performance. Recently, he put up a showcase of an excellent fielding during the Test series against New Zealand.

Initially, the Indian team found itself on a troubled spot even after securing 8 wickets from the kiwis. However, Neil Wagner and Kyle Jamieson put your an extraordinary partnership in protecting the 9th wicket.

Fortunately for the Indian team, Mohammad Shami manages to find the break. His delivery led to Wagner’s dismissal. However, it is the player-turned-superhero Jadeja who actually pulled off the entire action. The delivery was seen hurling towards the boundary when Jadeja leaps into the air and catches it. It’s safe to say he put everyone in disbelief.

During a conversation Jadeja reveals that he had an inkling the shot will be played towards the boundary. Hence, he did prepare himself for the catch.

“I knew he would play a shot there. I was waiting at fine leg but I didn’t know that the ball would come at double pace. I just put my hands there and it stuck.”

Jadeja receives praise from everyone

The commentators of the day claims that his catch is the best one so far this year. Even his fans are in pure admiration of the player’s efforts and catch. 

Now, apart from this unbelievable catch, Ravindra Jadeja did secure two other wickets as well.

Coming to the other players, Jasprit Bumrah takes 3-wickets in his bag while Shami secures additional wickets as well. Additionally, Umesh Yadav secures one wicket. In fact, Umesh Yadav is the one who draws the first dismissal on the second day of the series.
