Dale Steyn reveals that his house has been attacked three times during the lockdown

Recently, the South African pacer revealed that there have been three break in attempts at his house since Friday. He adds that one of the attempts were harsh enough that it completely scared his mother to bits. On top of that, she was alone when the incident occurred. On the other hand, one of the attempts became violent enough and his friend’s car was destroyed.

3 attempted break ins since Friday at my house. Yesterday they destroyed my friends car and tonight scared the hell outa my mom who was alone at home. Rona definitely pushing people into desperation and I realize this tweet helps fuck all. Stay safe people.”

He makes an appeal to everyone to stay safe and stay aware

He said that he realises that the virus outbreak and lockdown is forcing people to go out on the streets to fend for themselves. However, it is a time when everyone must come together instead of making life difficult for the other. Dale Steyn believes that whoever is taking this route is doing so for a reason.

It is at test for us, the time when people have to take care for each other but they are at the beaches, I mean what are they doing, there must be a reason why that is happening.”

During the lockdown, Steyn had revealed that his mother, girlfriend, his friend, and four dogs will be staying at his house. He is taking this time to make a plea to his countrymen and fellow players to stay safe and be aware of the situation all around.

The lockdown restrictions have rendered a number of individuals out of jobs. Therefore, some of them are resorting to thefts and break ins to acquire material or cash for survival.
