Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is going through a rough phase in his life right now. His dog, Bruno passed away this Wednesday (6 May). Virat was very close to his pet dog, Bruno. They have been together for more than 11 years. 

Virat announced the demise of his dog via an Instagram post. The cricketer mourned over the death of his best friend for the past 11 years. Kohli posted a picture of his dog. Along with the picture, he wrote, “Rest in peace my Bruno. Graced our lives with love for 11 years but made a connection of a lifetime. Gone to a better place today. God bless his soul with peace,”

Kohli is a big supporter of pet animals. There have been many instances in the past when he has shared the photos with his pet dog. Kohli’s love for dogs is quite evident as he recently adopted a total of 15 stray dogs at Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre (CARE) in Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma also mourned Bruno’s demise. Like Virat, Anushka is also a dog lover and has a pet named Dude. Anushka also shared a pic of Bruno on her Instagram account on Wednesday. She captioned the video saying, “Bruno RIP”

Virat Kohli was very close to his dog Bruno as the cricketer many times posted his pictures with Bruno on Instagram. A few years back the cricketer had shared a pic of Bruno sleeping peacefully on the couch. He had termed him as a part of himself. 

Virat wrote, “Sleeping with absolute peace. The love dogs give you is beyond anything. Absolutely unconditional. My little dynamite is a part of me, Bruno the beagle”
