Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was all praises for the Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, in a live chat with Irfan Pathan. He termed Rohit as a pure batsman.
On Saturday, former seamer Irfan Pathan hosted an Instagram live chat session with the sensational bowler Mohammed Shami. Shami talked on a lot of things like his teammates, career graph and his journey.
Talking about the Indian team vice-captain Rohit Sharma, Shami revealed, “I feel he is a package – to learn and to show what is cricket. He is a pure batsman. If he is batting, you will get to learn a lot,”

Rohit started opening the innings for India in 2013 and since then has been unstoppable in the white-ball cricket. He has scored 9,115 runs in the ODI with an average of 49.27. Rohit Sharma has been magnificent in his batting lately. He made a record in the World Cup 2019 by hitting 5 centuries.
Shami further added, “He will hit bowlers, and you get to learn. If you are a batsman, you get to see how much time he has to play a shot. You will also see how to bat in different conditions. He is a next-level batsman. He is the best package.”

Rohit Sharma is a poet: Irfan Pathan
The cricketer turned commentator Irfan Pathan also lauded the veteran Rohit Sharma for his brilliant performance. He praised the batsman for his smooth innings.
Irfan said, “Sometimes, while I am commentating and watching Rohit Sharma play, I feel he is not a cricketer, but a poet. He bats as smooth as butter, like a poem. The bowlers don’t even realize that he is slamming, and he keeps on slamming.”

During the live chat Shami also revealed his favorite bowling partner. He admitted that Ishant Sharam is his best friend on and off the field and he enjoys playing with him.
Shami acknowledged,” Ishant is really funny. For me, as a fast bowler, he is the best partner. He has massive confidence and a great experience. As a human, on-field, and off-field, he is a great person. He is my best buddy,”
