Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan Donate 4,000 Masks to Fight the COVID-19 Threat

The Coronavirus threat is rising at an accelerated rate in India. The nation is indulging in social distancing in an attempt to curb the spread. Indian Government is taking strict steps to ensure the States go into lockdown. Amidst all of this, brothers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan are donating 4,000 surgical masks to the people who need them.

The number of positive cases in India is rising everyday

India is dealing with over 500 positive cases. On top of that, the number of deaths in the records is 10. During such times, it is great to know that the veteran cricket players are stepping up to support the nation.

Irfan Pathan takes to Twitter to inform everyone about the initiative. He urges everyone to do their bit to help the society during such tough times. Additionally, he cautions everyone not to gather in large crowds and make sanitation a priority.

The video shows that the masks are purchased under the name of Mehmood Khan Pathan Charitable Trust. This is the organisation run by their father. Yusuf Pathan informs that the organisation will donate the masks to the Vadodara Health Department. In turn, the Department will distribute the masks to the people who truly need them at this time.

The threat is becoming a serious concern in the nation. Therefore, the Government is asking everyone to stay indoors. In fact, even World Health Organisation says that social distancing is the only way to stop the spread. On a brighter note, players are taking this opportunity to spend time with their family and loved ones.
