“It has Helped Indian Cricket” – Says Brett Lee

Former Australian pacer Brett Lee is a straightforward person who loves speaking his mind. In a recent interview, Lee spoke about the change in Indian cricket, the future of test cricket and fast bowlers. 

Brett expressed his desire to find more fast bowlers around the world, especially from India. He said that India has the right make and right build-up to provide some good medium-fast bowlers. Also, he admitted that he has seen good fast bowlers from Australia and Pakistan. 

Brett Lee is recognized as one of the fastest bowlers in the world. He was Captain of the Australian team in the recent UnAcademy Road Safety World series. However, the series was called off due to the spread of coronavirus in the world.

On being questioned about the current Indian team, Lee said, “The Australian mindset of never giving up has rubbed off on new India. It has helped the world cricket and also Indian cricket,”

He further added that this change can be there in the Indian team because of the more interaction of Indian players with Australian players due to IPL. Also, many Australian coaches have now come over to India. He believes that Australians have rubbed their attitude of never giving up on new India. 

Brett also admitted that the way the Indian cricket team is playing now is fantastic. They can dominate anywhere in the world. Moreover, they are respectful and nice. Also, they have got the right balance.

Brett Lee impressed with Jasprit Bumrah 

Jasprit Bumrah has led the Indian fast bowling attack to its glory. The legendary fast bowler, Brett Lee praised Bumrah for his excellent bowling in the last couple of years. However, he feels that Bumrah can be more lethal if he improves his pace and action. 

The current Indian pace attack is very, very good, led by Jasprit Bumrah. He is the guy who can also increase his pace. A few little things…you know he is working on with his action, with shooing with that arm pulling down harder and pulling out straighter. He has improved his action bit. I am impressed with the way he bowled in the last couple of years.,” Lee said.
