A recent video shows that MS Dhoni is training regularly at the gym. In this video the captain of Chennai Super Kings is showing how a box jump is done. This exercise specifically targets the leg muscles and makes both the quads and hamstrings stronger.

Considering he is one of the fastest runners wearing batting pads, this box jump is not a difficult task for him. The developed leg muscles ensures he continues to retain strength even when not practicing on-field. Following this video, his fans are going gaga over his strength.

Dhoni’s IPL 2020 practice

Now, since IPL 2020 is about to begin, reports are going around that Dhoni will begin his practice from the 2nd March. Dhoni will be accompanied by Suresh Raina as well. The entire CSK squad will most probably start their practice later. One of the primary reasons he is practicing early is because of his non-participation in any of the T20s since the World Cup.

K S Vishwanathan, the CEO of CSK, said that Dhoni’s initial practice will begin with whichever players are available at that time. As of now, the two players who will definitely be there are Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayuda.

This is truly a great piece of news for his fans. Since speculations started making rounds that he might retire, a number of his fans have been on the lookout for negative news. In fact, it was truly concerning when the BCCI released the contracts of the season and did not mention Dhoni. However, the news of him starting practice is great. This could be the first step towards making a comeback.

The first match of Chennai Super Kings will be against Mumbai Indians. This is also the first match of IPL 2020.
